Dr. Tucciarone began his veterinary career at the Veterinary University of Naples, Federico II in Italy. He later pursued specialised Ultrasound training for dogs and cats at UNISVET in Italy and then completed the ISVPS GPCert (SAM) program to gain expertise in Internal Medicine. Dr. Tucciarone went on to pursue a Master’s Degree, Level II (MSc) in Specialised Ultrasound in Small Animal Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bologna in Italy.

He is dedicated to ongoing professional development, as evidenced by his participation in the PgCert in Veterinary Professional Studies at The University of Liverpool and obtaining his CertAVP from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London, UK. Dr. Tucciarone also acquired a GpCert in Small Animal Endoscopy and Endosurgery from ISVPS in Swindon, UK and attended the Vascular & Non-Vascular Interventional Radiology Summit at the Facultat de Veterinària – UAB in Barcelona, Spain to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary advances.

Dr. Tucciarone’s work history includes serving as an Internal Medicine Referral in a Vet Referral hospital in Northampton, Northamptonshire, where he manages complex cases spanning various disciplines. Prior to that, he worked as a Freelance Sonographer and Internal Medicine Vet in the northeast of Italy, providing ultrasonography services for feline and canine patients. He also founded the practice and served as the head of the internal medicine department at Trentovet Veterinary Clinic in Trento, Italy. Dr. Tucciarone’s earlier roles include several positions at different Italian practices and a valuable fellowship at East Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency in Walnut Creek, USA.

Dr. Tucciarone’s dedication to advancing veterinary science is evident in his collaborative publication with G. D. Shelton, L. T. Guo, L. M. Coghill, and L. A. Lyons. Their paper titled “Precision Medicine using Whole Genome Sequencing Identifies a Novel Dystrophin (DMD) Variant for X-linked Muscular Dystrophy in a Cat” was published in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

He also served as a speaker and practical instructor for the MSK Ultrasound CPD: Practical Day Course on 28th November 2023 in London, which focused on the practical application of ultrasound in the musculoskeletal system and was organized by VOA and sponsored by CelticSMR and a second edition in 2024.
